Hilarie Mais has been a practising artist for over 40 years  Mais's career began in New York following her graduation from SLADE School of Art London. Mais moved to Sydney in 81 and has lived and worked in Sydney for the last 30 years.  Her exhibiting career is extensive as is her museum representation, having exhibited in Sydney Biennales, and in touring exhibitions of Australian art throughout Asia and Europe. Mais has had 32 solo exhibitions in the USA and Australia and is now preparing for an exhibition at the MCA Australia, Sydney. Mais has been a recipient of the Pollock Krasner Award, USA and the Australia Council Fellowship Grant

WW•AP presents contemporary exhibitions involving projects by emerging, mid career and established artists across all medias; painting, installation, photography, sound and sculpture providing artists the space to exhibit, experiment, interact, and exchange ideas.

 It is a curated exhibition space for contemporary artists across all medias In the last four years WWAP has hosted 31 Solo exhibitions and 8 group exhibitions, involving 63 artists.The space has alternately been curated by artist, curator and educator William Wright, guest curators and Hilarie Mais.

The major concern is the quality of the projects and exhibitions that address emerging, mid-career and established artists.  WWAP is a focus point and meeting place for a wide range of artists and activities.
